Memo

My Chemistry teacher was talking about the chemical elements and how they affected human life. He said that there are many products that people use in their everyday lives and later they realize that how dangers were these products. He talked about a historical event that happened around world war one and many female in their mid-twenties suffered from diseases and were killed by hazardous materials that they were working with. In the world war era, women were more under oppression than others. As men gone to fighting with enemies, female left behind and had to provide for their families. There was more demand for them on the job market. Some of them had to work down to dust for earning little money. The unpleasant event happened around 1917. The Army officers had problem reading their wristwatches at night time, so chemists came up with an idea of painting dials with radium in order to glow at night. Young Women were hiring to work in a factory in USA and they were assigning to paint dials and other Army stuff by deadly radioactive materials. They were trained to use their lips and tongs to sharp the brushes that were dipped in poisoned chemicals. Consequently, the poisoned materials entered to their bodies and make so many of poor women severely sick and put others to death. Even though, the scientists and the owners knew that how dangerous was the radium, and they were extra careful with handling the materials, they did not care about the health and safety of the workers. As I was reading this article on the internet, I asked myself how one can do such a crime. I was shocked that how some people abuse others in order to reach their goals. Some only think about their profit. As many times happened through the history women were the subjects of abuses. I don’t know under which circumstances and what price someone abuses or kills innocent’s people. In Radium case, It is obvious that there were order from higher position not to  protect the workers, but I don’t know if I were in the same spot as the managers or the factory owners I would obey the order or not . The only thing that I am sure is that from now on, each time that I look at my wristwatch, I will remember those innocent women.

From Eve who is believed to be the first female by many people, to Merit Ptah, first female physician in the Egypt, to the present time that Hilary Clinton is the first lady of the state, I can see the power and knowledge of women. I think science provide a good statement that many of our characteristics are genetic; I realized it when my mom convinced my dad to get her an expensive jewellery that was twice as my dads’ salary. You might ask what is the relationship between genetic and my mom action. It is obvious she got her power from her mother and all thorough Eve who made Adam to eat the fruit and as a consequence all of us are living hear. Can’t you see the power? Women are able to get what they want, and they can reach to any level of proficiency as they desire. Probably power is the character that God planned to give it to the women from the very first day. If you read history, you’ll see that every powerful man had an intelligent woman in the background; most of the time, women did the job and men got the name for it. As simple as this that all human beings are born of female bodies, and I am at least sure of this one even though it may change by time. Women are fundamentals of a healthy society, and every single woman has many important abilities that can benefit everyone. For example, the key role of a mother could be raising her children .The ability to reproduce and raising knowledgeable individuals who are healthy in not only physical but mental is specific to women. As Marie curie says: “You cannot hope to build a better world without improving the individuals. To that end each of us must work for our own improvement and at the same time share a general responsibility for all humanity, our particular duty being to aid those to whom we think we can be most useful.”

Introduction

Welcome to my blog. I would like to appreciate your time and your patient as this is my first blog. I am glad to have an opportunity to express myself and talk about the matters that I never talked before: the power of women.

From bearing children to lead as authorities, women are the most powerful creature on the Earth. No one ever could ease the hardship of life for his or her family except a woman. I am sure that everyone knows about expertise of women in handling much work at the same time such as talking on the phone, stirring food, and watching children playing in the yard. Throughout this semester I will present some interesting stories and ideas about the women who have changed the world, and I give my opinion on how and why they were successfull. Also, I will share some of my own experiences in my personal life that helped me to become a better person.
